Home Fitness Challenges To Try

Staying at home doesn’t mean we have to start slacking off on our workout regimes. It might be an excellent time for you to reflect on your fitness goals and weed out some bad habits you may have picked up.

Perhaps being confined to a desk job was taking a toll on your spinal health. However, with new fitness trends emerging, you can give fitness challenges a shot to work towards building your quarantine body.

A Note To Yourself….

These goals will look different for each of us, depending on our capabilities and the space we have.

Remember that the idea behind fitness challenges is not to overwork yourself, but to strive to be better than you were the day before. Some days, you don’t feel like moving, and that’s okay too.

Taking a breather or some time off, even from healthy activities, can be good for your soul. Prioritize your mental wellbeing and listen to your body.

Push Up Challenge For 30 Days

If the thought of doing a push up fills you with dread, know that you are not alone. This challenging exercise can be tough but extremely effective for building core, shoulder, and arm strength.

The challenge is simple – complete a fixed number of push-ups in thirty days. You can start with ten, keep adding ten as you progress or do a 50 every day. Break up the number of push-ups throughout the day. You can try out different versions of the push-up, such as against a wall, or on your knees if you’re a beginner.

You can also substitute push-ups for other kinds of exercises such as planking or ab crunches!

Handstand Challenge

Fitness is not just about the biggest muscles or a six-pack. It’s also about improving your hand-eye coordination, balance, and flexibility. Holistic workouts can help you learn more about your body and help you feel more confident in your skin as well.

Thanks to American sweetheart, Tom Holland, the handstand challenge, made its rounds on social media during the initial lockdown phase. You can learn to do a handstand for this challenge in a set amount of time or take it up for several notches.

Do it like Holland, and try to put on a t-shirt while balancing yourself upside down on one hand!
