Om Factory claims to combine aerial acrobatics, dance, Pilates, traditional yoga principles, and calisthenics in their AntiGravity yoga classes – which is a tough order to fill! The good news? They delivered. Within the first 20 minutes of class, we went from hanging in a resting-stretching straddle pose to hanging handstands. It was so much fun!

I used to surf and now take Pilates classes regularly, but I was not sure exactly how the two forms would be integrated. I was pleasantly surprised to find myself in what was one of the most challenging, beneficial, and fun Pilates-based classes I have taken. I was simultaneously tired and energized, the way one feels after a thorough, full-body workout. My first thought at the close of class was, “I want to take this class every week.” I could definitely feel my low abdominal and upper back muscles the next day.
