Physique 57

CLASS LEVEL: BEGINNER
Operation “Look like Kelly Ripa” took two when I attended my second Physique 57 class (i.e., the fitness program she attributes her rock hard body to) at their original location on 57th St. The location itself was not as spacious or relaxing as their downtown location, but the clientele felt more approachable and was made up of “everyday women” in contrast to the elite, “I have money, time, and a full time nanny” crowd at the Spring street studio.

She demonstrated a weight lift saying, “It’s like when you’re on the train and someone sits down next to you and you just want to pop them in the face with your elbow…oh what am I saying, you’re all probably from Connecticut.”

CLASS LEVEL: INTRO

A class so nice, I tried it twice. Since this was my most enjoyable class thus far, I let myself relapse into my circus dream disorder and cart-wheeled back to class the next week. Two women from my last class were there along with two new comers. I was pleased that the instructor challenged the three of us from last class and pushed us to improve and try more advanced moves. Since we were already familiar with the basic toe and arm locks
