Prana Power Yoga

CLASS LEVEL: ALL LEVELS

This was another full class (5 men and 18 women) with Megan as the instructor. This time with Megan seemed a bit easier for me than the first class with her. I don’t know if it was because I must be getter better at the movements or because

Prana Power Yoga

CLASS LEVEL: ALL LEVELS

I took a Prana class with Joy, another great instructor for the beginners and injured. She was quick to help out with any variations I needed to take to avoid pain in my knees. This class was entirely comprised of women, about 15 in total. If you want to take a class that is

CLASS LEVEL: ALL LEVELS

I participated in another Prana Yoga class with Shayna. After attending classes with most of the instructors now, I have realized that she is one of the best for a beginner/injured person. She encourages you to push yourself to the point where it may be a bit uncomfortable but not to the extent where there is pain. This class was

I attended my fifth Bikram Yoga class in Downtown Manhattan. The instructor’s name was Courtney and she had been doing Bikram for eight years. The class was at 4:30 and had about ten women and seven men. The average age of those attending, I would say was about 25 years old. By this fifth class, I was able to do and hold the postures much easier than my first couple of classes. I adapting to the heat easier because

CLASS LEVEL: OPEN
This was a much more crowded class. There were 14 or 15 people in the small room and it seemed rather crowded. People had to stagger their mats. There were also 5 or 6 males. The instructor’s name was Shayna (not positive of the spelling) and she was by far my favorite out of the three instructors I had taken. Her dialogue was

Class Review: Bikram Yoga (Yuki) @ Bikram Yoga Brooklyn and Brooklyn NYC

by Jessica B - Beginner: fitness

Bikram Yoga

CLASS LEVEL: OPEN
FIRST CLASS WITH YUKI:

There were 12 people in this class and only one was male. The instructor’s name was Yuki. She seemed more considerate and understanding about personal limits than Vince was but was still loud with constant somewhat jerky instruction. She would correct every move that everyone made and paid special attention to the new people.

SECOND CLASS WITH YUKI:

The noon class was taught by Yuki again even though it was at a different studio.
